cod glint bug

A bug is once again wreaking havoc in Call of Duty. Sniper rifles come without a visual signal for the opponents. Developer Raven Software originally fixed the bug back in May.

A nasty surprise awaits players in Call of Duty Warzone. A bug that often causes sniper rifles to have no visible glint from the scope has returned. CoD players are calling for a quick fix to the problem.

So apparently cold war snipers now have no glint ….. from CODWarzone

Since the beginning of Season 4, which went live in mid-June, complaints about the sniper glint bug have been piling up. The lack of reflection of some guns already caused problems in earlier versions. In May, developer Raven Software released a patch to fix the bug. Now, however, the bug has returned and snipers are barely recognizable in the game.

Apparently, the Swiss K31 and the Kar98k are mainly affected, as well as the HDR in Modern Warfare. However, the glint is not always missing. The bug is probably triggered as soon as the variable scope is used.

No Sniper Glint – When the glint is missing

What exactly is a sniper glint anyway? If a player positions himself with a sniper rifle and aims at the playing field, a glint of his weapon usually appears and reveals his position. This gives players a bit of a heads-up and puts the sniper’s advantage into perspective somewhat. However, if this visual aid is missing, the extremely powerful sniper rifles can wreak havoc without players being able to adjust.

The community is understandably bothered by the bug and demands a quick fix. The current advantage of the snipers can mean a quick end to the game for opponents. However, this time the bug should be fixed permanently and not just for a few weeks.
