But within the Dark Place, the investigator also comes to life. But instead of recognizing his creator, he confronts the author with harsh accusations of cult-oriented murder.

But if Alex Casey is just a character in a novel, what is FBI agent Alex Casey doing with investigator Saga Anderson? As IGN shares, Remedy boss Sam Lake himself has spoken out about the dual Caseys in Alan Wake 2:
…]It’s not directly about the FBI agent Casey who accompanies Saga. He is overly drawn as a tough guy and is definitely inspired by the same ideas as and my love for Max Payne. This includes the outfit, which is reminiscent of Brad Pitt’s character from the neo-noir film Seven.
