A new feature from CoD Modern Warfare 3 is causing discussion – but it can easily be switched off

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is currently causing heated discussions in the gaming community. Not only because of the miserable campaign, but also because of a newly introduced feature. CoD fans actually expect a range of new features such as weapons, maps and so on every year. But not all changes are received positively.

The current controversy revolves around a detail that many feel is an unnecessary burden&nbsp: Weapons that simply freeze on snow maps

Realism or spoilsport?

This phenomenon occurs in two of the game’s snow maps, Sub Base and Derail Players who do not move for a few seconds will quickly notice that their weapons are covered in ice

The community is divided on this new feature: While some players in the comments welcome the additional challenge for campers, others see it as an unnecessary complication if you don’t play the typical CoD run-and-gun style

What many of them have probably overlooked: The developers have only implemented weapon freezing as part of the game’s dynamic map elements of the game. So if you’re worried about your sights freezing off while waiting tactically: You always have the option of simply deactivating this function in the settings.

Ok, now it’s up to you: do you think such effects are a cool idea from the developers? Or do you think they should leave such nonsense alone? After all, not every player will notice that you can simply switch off these disadvantages. Let us know in the comments.
