If Blizzard were developing Warcraft 4 today, it would hopefully look at least as good as NCsoft’s Project G.
In a perfect world, Warcraft 4 wouldn’t be a silly castle in the air that nobody really believes in anymore. Least of all Blizzard themselves, who have already made a mess of things with the remaster of Warcraft 3
But if Blizzard were to actually develop a new Warcraft – and no, Warcraft Rumble I’m not counting – then it should at least come close to the graphical imposingness of the new strategy game from NCsoft
Which goes by the less sonorous name of Project G, but shows all the more impressive gameplay scenes. The new project was unveiled back in March and is the first strategy game from the Korean studio, which was previously better known for various MMOs. Now there is a new trailer, which you can watch here:
What kind of game is this exactly?
As I said, NCsoft is actually better known for MMOs – for example Guild Wars That’s why Project G will not be a flawless RTS, but a kind of mixture of real-time strategy and MMO. Essentially, this means that there will be a very large online component
In an (interview with MMORPG.gg) lead designer Cho Kyuhyung spoke about the game. It is said that base building and upgrades for your army will be solo activities, while the big battles will always be fought against other players. It is also designed for you to team up with other players and fight large, territorial battles.
