We tell you which class currently deals the most damage and is at the top of the DPS list.
With the release of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, many players have returned to Azeroth or started playing for the first time. But which character do you currently play best if you want to be at the top of the damage list in the first raid Castle Nathria?

We take a look at the current damage figures and tell you which DPS classes are particularly worthwhile for Shadowlands.

Depending on what kind of content you want to play in the WoW endgame, there are different DPS rankings. So different classes and their specialisations are better than others for different end-game content like raids and mythic-plus dungeons.

For this reason, we have listed a total of three rankings with the classes that are best for the different content according to the current stats.

DPS Ranking Raid: Sanctum of Dominance

Since the new raid has not yet been unlocked on mythic, the stats this time refer to the heroic raid. As soon as there is enough data for the mythic difficulty level, we will update the ranking.

1st Assassin Rogue

Thanks to its high damage output on single targets, the Assassination Rogue is perfect for the new Raid. Combined with their mobility and survival skills, they can escape many dicey situations and AoE spells with ease without having to greatly reduce their damage output.

2nd Shadow Priest

The Shadow Priest relies on damage-over-time spells (DoTs) such as Shadow Word: Pain, Accusation, and Vampire Touch. This gives the Shadow Priest a high damage output on single enemies, just like the Rogue. This is what makes him so valuable for the new raid. Although you don’t have as much freedom of movement as the rogue, you can still deal out good damage with your DoTs while you have to manoeuvre between enemy attacks.

But beware: The Shadow Priest is not easy to play and only unfolds its full potential in the hands of people who have good timing.

3rd Demonology Sorcerer

While the Demonology Warlock still lagged behind his other specialisations in Castle Nathria, he can now unleash his full potential in the Sanctum of Domination. In addition to high single-target damage and lots of burst damage, the Demonology Warlock benefits from his demons and the freedom of movement that comes with it.

1. deception rogue

The Subtlety Rogue got a lot of love from the developers in patch 9.1. For example, he received a 20 percent buff to his Assassinate ability, as well as to the AoE damage of his Black Powder. Also, your Shuriken Storm now has an additional 15 percent chance to critically hit. All of these buffs catapult the Smoke Rogue to the top of the DPS rankings for mythic plus dungeons.

2nd Lawlessness Rogue

Unlike other classes, the Outlaw Rogue has some useful abilities for his party due to his mass stealth and crowd control. Since he can only deal his group damage through his Blade Vortex ability, the damage rotation has to be spot on, especially during uptime. If your timing is right, you will do an incredible amount of damage.

3 Frost Mage

Although the Frost Mage didn’t receive any significant changes for Patch 9.1, he still shines with incredible damage output, as well as plenty of control abilities to keep your opponents at bay.

Tip: Don’t just go by damage numbers

Before you make your final choice, however, you should note that the damage values shown will change again with further updates and pateches of Shadowlands.
