Even if there are currently no blockbuster releases and only smaller insider tips are published on Steam, the developers and publishers are already getting us in the mood for the coming gaming autumn.
On 8 July 2021, not only did the first EA Play Spotlight Event take place with new information on Battlefield 2042 and Apex Legends, but also Sony’s current State of Play. We have collected all the announcements and trailers relevant for PC players for you in this article.

Deathloop
Deathloop – 9 minutes of gameplay from PS5 action game
The new game Deathloop from the Dishonored makers revolves around two rival assassins trapped on an island in an eternal duel. After each death, they wake up again and the fight starts all over. The new trailer now shows a full nine minutes of gameplay and demonstrates different play styles from sneaking to “shooting everything away”.

F.I.S.T.
F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch – The game with the battle bunny has a release
F.I.S.T. is a 2.5D platformer in which you play a rabbit. That sounds lame at first, but since the long-eared rabbit can slip into various mech exoskeletons, some good action is guaranteed. In the new trailer, the Chinese developers not only showed new gameplay, but also revealed the release date: Fist will be released on 7 September 2021.
Arcadegeddon
Arcadegeddon – Trailer announces new co-op shooter, release immediately
Arcadegeddon is a third-person co-op shooter in which you hunt enemies and bosses with up to three friends. There are also fun mini-games like basketball. The game is now available in Early Access, on PC exclusively in the Epic Games Store.
Tribes of Midgard
Tribes of Midgard – Loot, crafting, base building – What to expect in co-op play
The gameplay of Tribes of Midgard is reminiscent of a mixture of Diablo and Don’t Starve. In this co-op survival action role-playing game, you have to save the world from the impending Ragnarok together with up to nine other players. Not only do you have to kill heaps of Norse mythical creatures such as ice giants, but crafting, base building and collecting materials also play a major role.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends
Hunter’s Arena: Legends – Battle Royale Modes Trailer
Hunter’s Arena: Legends is a Battle Royale in the ancient Far East setting. The focus here is clearly on close combat with swords, spears and clubs. As the trailer shows, the numerous cosmetic options can also turn the weapons into rubber ducks and disco balls. The game will be released on Steam on 15 July and is 50 percent off until 23 July. PlayStation Plus subscribers get the title for free – so thanks to crossplay, there should always be enough opponents available.
