RTX 4000 Super: Release and price

Nvidia’s release plans for the RTX 4000 Super have already been published in advance – no changes have been made in the course of the official presentation. Specifically, this means the following dates for the respective market launch:

  • RTX 4070 Super: January 17, 2024
  • RTX 4070 Ti Super: January 24, 2024
  • RTX 4080 Super: January 31, 2024

Happy news, however, is the recommended retail price of the new graphics cards, which is lower than initially speculated

In the course of the official presentation, the manufacturer spoke of “more FPS per US dollar”, which is reflected in the following prices for the GPUs:

  • RTX 4070 Super: 659 euros
  • RTX 4070 Ti Super: 889 Euro
  • RTX 4080 Super: 1,109 euros

In this sense, the two smaller Super graphics cards take over the original RRP of the non-Super models – with a clear and comprehensible performance increase, mind you.

The RTX 4080 Super, on the other hand, drops in price by around 16 percent compared to the RTX 4080, but only offers the smallest performance boost.

As previously reported, Nvidia announces that the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 will no longer be produced as part of the changed price structure.

RTX 4000 Super: Technical data

The technical data for the Super refresh had already been circulating for a few weeks.

Nvidia is not changing the previously reported specs for any of the newly introduced graphics cards, so the RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super are also officially equipped with the following values (in the brackets you will find the specs of the respective non-Super counterpart, should something have changed here):

The first independent benchmarks, which may appear successively from January 16, 2024, will be exciting

Only the RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4080 Super will be provided with a Founder’s Edition from Nvidia. So if you want an RTX 4070 Ti Super, you will inevitably have to wait for the designs from custom manufacturers

The first manufacturers have already positioned themselves here. In Switzerland, the first listings for the RTX 4000 Super were discovered a few days before the official presentation:

  • MSI and Gigabyte reveal the price of the new Nvidia cards – and also confirm another

Now we need your opinion: Nvidia’s RTX 4000 Super graphics cards are finally official – what do you think of the new GPUs? Can Nvidia convince you with the comparatively lower prices or are the cards still too expensive for you? Is there a model you’re paying particular attention to? Let us know in the comments below:
