The next exciting week of new releases is coming to Steam – with one potential co-op shooter hit standing out
In the first month of this year, we’ve already had exciting survival games (Palworld, Enshrouded), role-playing games (Persona 3 Reload, Granblue Fantasy: Relink) and building games (New Cycle).
After Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League failed the test, shooter fans are still waiting for their first undisputed highlight of 2024, which could be released as early as this week.

Highlight of the week: Helldivers 2
(Genre: Shooter – Developer: Arrowhead – Release: February 8 (Steam and PS5) at 10 a.m.)
The shooter Helldivers was particularly popular on the PlayStation 4 at the time. The sequel is now not only being released directly on PC, but also does a lot of things differently. Although the focus is still on co-op with three teammates, the game is hardly recognizable. Because in Helldivers 2 you can’t expect a top-down shooter, but a third-person shooter à la Returnal or Outriders.
Before each mission, you can optimize your armor, weapons and stratagems for the upcoming mission and the expected enemies. Stratagems are powerful tools that can be called up with short key combinations and offer everything from fire from orbit to supply packages with more powerful weapons and defensive equipment
Which is of course also back on board: The treacherous Friendly Fire, which caused a lot of headaches in the previous game, but also countless funny moments. By the way, the developers already have big plans for the time after the release!

- Armored Age: Attention! The game will not be released in German or English, but since it looks otherwise lean on Monday, it’s still at least worth a mention. Here you get a tank multiplayer game à la World of Tank, but paired with a moba game mode à la League of Legends. Sounds like a new idea at least!
Tuesday, February 6
- Arms Trade Tycoon: Tanks (Early Access): On Tuesday, we continue with tanks, because in this economic simulation you run a tank company. The highlight: You design the war machines you sell yourself!
- Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice: A stealth game in the popular role-playing universe – but only for owners of a VR headset.
Wednesday, February 7
- Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost: The Touhou games are primarily known as a collection of hard-hitting shoot-’em-ups. In this new spin-off, you not only shoot your way through various

- KONOSUBA – God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! Love For These Clothes Of Desire!: The much too long title already gives it away – it’s about an isekai anime in which the character is revived in a strange fantasy world. Konosuba is one of the better-known representatives of the genre. Fans can now immerse themselves in this world in a mixture of visual novel, time management and …
dress-up game
(?).
- The Inquisitor: There’s a little treat for role-playing game fans this weekend. In the dark world of The Inquisitor, Jesus returns from the dead in the year 1500 and rains down his wrath on mankind. And you lend him a hand by enforcing God’s will as a fanatical inquisitor and judging sinners.
Friday, February 9
- Star Shift Rebellion: To round off the week, a small sci-fi role-playing game awaits in which you, as a rebel, have to free a mining colony from its oppressors.
