Larian reveals a whole host of details about the next big update for the role-playing epic. We have the first patch notes for you
Larian doesn’t seem to be taking a break in 2024 either. Patch 6 for Baldur’s Gate 3 has now been presented in more detail in a series of tweets. According to the developers, the upcoming update will bring more than just more romantic scenes, i.e.:
Tangible gameplay improvements are also on the way. In addition, a whole series of problems reported by players are to be fixed. All in all, Patch 6 should have a good chance of becoming a real fan favorite.

Size & Date
Patch 6 is only 21 GB in size, but it requires a generous 150 GB of free disk space for installation. Larian himself gives the tip: If necessary, you should uninstall the game and download the already patched version again.

A whole range of comfort features
With Patch 6, you can look forward to the following new features, among others:
- Dismiss companions: In future, you can dismiss a previous companion by talking to your new partner of choice. No more time-consuming back and forth in camp!
- You are the star of the show: In automatically triggered dialogue sequences, the game will now prioritize your avatar as the main character. This means that your party members will no longer be in the spotlight just because they happen to be the first to enter a room.
- Better kissing: Patch 6 will improve lip contact when kissing. A

- Skill comebacks: “Shield Bash” and “Rebuke of the Mighty” have been fixed and are returning to the game. They should now work as intended.
- Legendary actions in Honor mode: Patch 6 should make the mode even more difficult, as some bosses will receive additional special abilities to give you even more heat.
- Bug-Fixes: Of course, a large number of bugs will also be fixed.
