The highly anticipated Dragon’s Dogma 2 is already in the starting blocks. You can currently get the predecessor and addon for a bargain price on Steam

Over ten years have passed since the release of the first Dragon’s Dogma. On March 22, 2024, the long-awaited sequel to the extraordinary role-playing game from Capcom will now be released – and weeks before release, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is not only climbing up the Steam wish list, but also the top order list.

Currently (as of March 03, 2024), the role-playing sequel is ranked 7th most wanted game and 13th best-selling Steam game worldwide. This sees it move up a full 65 places in the top sellers and even overtake current hits such as Granblue Fantasy: Relink or long-running hits such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

In the distant year of 2012, Capcom landed a surprise success with Dragon’s Dogma. The JRPG wanted to combine the dark look of Dark Souls with the feel of Devil May Cry.

This created a unique blend that stood out from its genre peers as well as role-playing games such as Skyrim or The Witcher and gathered a large following. The game sold millions of copies.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen on sale on Steam

You haven’t played the first part yet or would like to refresh your memories? No worries! You still have about three weeks until March 22 – and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is currently available at the lowest price for a short time on Steam

For less than 5 Euro (84 percent discount) you get the first main game including the big addon Dark Arisen:

(Here’s the Steam offer! )

What is Dragon’s Dogma all about? The open world of Gransys is populated by dragons and you have the misfortune of getting particularly close to one of them: The hero of Dragon’s Dogma has his heart cut out of his chest. But because he is one of the chosen ones, this does not mean death for you, but the beginning of a journey and the hunt for the dragon responsible for this

Dragon’s Dogma offers challenging battles, exciting character classes and a great vassal system as well as an intense and long main story with numerous side activities in the large open world.

By the way: You don’t necessarily need to have played the first part to understand Dragon’s Dogma 2. Conveniently, our hero suffers from amnesia and also needs to have the world explained to him first. You can read more about this in the article linked above.

In addition, you can read why the lead developer of Dragon’s Dogma 2 wants to do without fast travel and why players are already discussing the save system.
