With We Are Football 2024 developer veteran Gerald Köhler and his team bring the Antoss feeling back to the virtual pitch and deliver many important improvements compared to its predecessor, as our test shows.
However, the soccer manager is missing an important component: There are no licenses included, even in the Bundesliga there are only fantasy clubs and players this time.
Luckily, the German fan community has already been busy and released a huge fan patch on Steam just in time for the release, which not only brings original names, but also crests and player pictures into the game.

How to install the database for We Are Football 2024
You have two options for downloading and installing the database update. The easiest way is via the Steam Workshop:
- Download either the Standard database or the slimmed-down Light version for weaker CPUs from the Steam Workshop.
- Optionally you can also download the real player images additionally. However, the download weighs around 11 GB.
- Once the download is complete, start We Are Football 2024 and open the editor in the main menu.
- In the editor, click on Steam Workshop at the bottom right, switch to the Download tab, click on
Update
and you can now integrate both the database of your choice and the player images into your database.
If you did not purchase the game via Steam, but from the Epic Games Store or GOG, for example, you can also download the megapatch directly from FM-Zocker and follow the installation instructions there.
