A single word from a C&C producer is enough to make fans dream of another remastered collection

Fans of Command & Conquer recently received a nice surprise from Electronic Arts. The publisher has released the Ultimate Collection together with other EA classics on Steam. The package contains all seventeen C&C parts – from the first Command and Conquer to C&C 4: Tiberian Twilight – and for a mere 10 euros.

But there could be another reason for joy in the pipeline The release of the Command and Conquer Ultimate Collection on Steam was accompanied by a blog post by Jim Vessella, one of the producers of the previous Remastered Collection

The juicy detail: Vessella referred to this release a few years ago as the “first” Remastered Collection.

I know that many of you have wondered about the status of Command & Conquer over the past few years. After the release of the first C&C Remastered Collection I told our Community Council that I would continue to try to find ways to support the C&C community and franchise wherever possible.

This choice of words alone is enough to have fans immediately speculating about a possible second Remastered Collection.

We remember: The first Remastered Collection only contained two of the many games released throughout the history of the beloved strategy series. EA could therefore already be secretly working on remastering other classics

Of course, this is just pure speculation at the moment, but the successful release of the Command and Conquer: Remastered Collection should certainly have paved the way for further projects of this kind.

The possibility of another remastered collection now naturally raises the exciting questions: Which titles could Electronic Arts remaster? Do you want to see a remaster of Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2? Perhaps even the shooter spin-off Renegade? Or are you much more interested in reliving more recent titles such as Red Alert 3 and Tiberian Twilight in a remastered version?
