A trailer for the survival game has completely exploded on Tiktok, attracting millions of viewers

Although it hasn’t even been released yet and information about it is limited, 30 Days on a Ship is well on its way to becoming a Steam phenomenon With a short trailer on the short video platform Tiktok, the survival game has already inspired over 6 million people

However, there is definitely reason to be skeptical about the game Because even if the idea behind it sounds extremely exciting, you should always exercise a little caution with the publisher responsible. Here we explain exactly what 30 Days on a Ship is all about

Survive 30 days on a shipwreck

On February 16, Tiktok user moskitgp uploaded a one-minute video of 30 Days on a Ship to the platform, which basically summarizes the game’s trailer available on Steam. Since then, the video has generated 6.7 million views  on the platform. You can watch the video itself here:

The video was uploaded by a developer who says he is working on the game. The principle behind 30 Days on a Ship sounds simple: You are the only survivor stranded on a huge cargo ship and unsurprisingly have to survive there for 30 days.

The funny thing about it: The containers on the cargo ship are full to the brim with stuff. You can therefore draw on a large pool of objects to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The fight for survival here probably also includes successfully connecting a flat screen or riding a quad bike over the containers

But apparently it is also possible to explore the ocean and defend yourself against aggressive animals.

Therefore skepticism is appropriate

Not much more is known about the content of the game so far. In the comments on Tiktok, many people also want to know which platforms it will be released for – this is where things get a bit tricky

Because according to the trailer, the game will be released for Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch However, there are no product pages on the consoles yet. You can only find the game on Steam. It also does not yet have a release date

In addition, the title is being distributed by the Polish publisher Playway and their business model can certainly be criticized.

In short: Playway focuses on mass instead of class The publisher publishes dozens of trailers for new games every year – very few of which are actual games. They are often just rough ideas of what the game should look like. Whether the games are actually created depends on how they are received by the audience

This doesn’t mean that the games are always bad. But at least they are usually produced very cheaply. There are definitely a few community favorites, such as House Flipper or the Thief Simulator.

With the enormous reach of 30 Days on a Ship, there is a good chance that Playway will really develop it But it’s also possible that the result will only be loosely connected to the successful trailer.
