The battle for Malevelon Creek, which has become a meme, is immortalized in Helldivers 2. But not everyone enjoys it
Developer Arrowhead Game Studios has declared April 1 a day of remembrance in Helldivers 2, where the planet Malevelon Creek was recaptured and defended as part of a large-scale operation. Now there was even a small gift in the game. A cape to commemorate the victims of the community.

What is Malevelon Creek?
Before we get into the actual discussion, here’s a brief excursion into the fictional history of Helldivers, which many players enjoy immersing themselves in.
Malevelon Creek is a planet that has become known in the community as “Space Vietnam” . This is partly due to the jungle that prevails there, but also because of the “traumatic” defeat in the battle against the Automatons
The resulting meme was taken up by the developers and became a narrative plaything between the studio and the community, the content of which was always based on the jargon of the military satire from Helldivers 2.
However, there are also some players who can’t relate to the meme and are even angry that the “creekers” have ignored all other objectives in the game (such as the general orders) and are only concerned with Malevelon Creek.

Under the post, many fans react with their usual biting satire. GiantSlayer thinks the complaints are “spies for the Automatons” Below that, congratulations on the realization from future Democracy officers.
Flashfall on the other hand, remains serious and simply cannot understand how people can complain about a free item Mr_stark can’t understand all the hate either and says, “At least the creekers are having fun with the game. “
In Helldivers 2, the stories are currently writing themselves, on the one hand thanks to the community and on the other thanks to the developers who are responding to them.
