Riot Games is planning new ways for players to better represent themselves and their own personalities in their accounts in the coming months and years

By the end of 2021, the entire personalisation system in League of Legends will be overhauled and more options will be added. This was announced by Riot Games on Wednesday evening.

LoL players are limited when it comes to expressing their own personalities, he said. For example, the player icons in the client have been the most customisable feature for the longest time. Riot Games has increased the selection over the years, introducing “Little Legends” icons in the ARAM game mode, for example.

In a detailed blog, the dev team of Riot Games presented some details on the announced restructuring. Among other things, this includes the first screenshots of general changes to the user interface, but also innovations in the area of design.

Identity Crystals and Titles are on the Way
Over time, for example, the Ranked emblems will be updated. In the course of this, the classic helmet icons are to be replaced by new Identity Crystals, which increase in size with the game experience.

There will also be new titles that can be unlocked through various events in the game. Dragon Master, Poglord and Scholar are just examples of the additional names in the pipeline.

The planned changes also serve to optimise the general client interface. Other personalisation options such as custom banners during the loading screen are in development, according to Riot.
