The eagerly awaited life simulator Life by You from Paradox Interactive will enter Early Access on June 4, 2024. Originally planned for March, the date has been postponed by three months. This will give the development team more time to refine the graphics of the human characters and optimize the gameplay.

Life by You offers an immersive and open game world that allows players to tell a variety of stories. Players can create individual households and characters, build their homes and shape their own story in a world full of possibilities. The game also allows players to seamlessly switch between the third-person perspective and direct control of the characters. This is intended to create a deeper emotional connection to the people created.

Another highlight of the game is the real-time communication with characters in real language. This, in combination with the extensive creator and editor tools, should make Life by You a unique sandbox experience. With tools such as the character editor, object designer and language trees, players can customize their world according to their own ideas.

Life by You – A real alternative to The Sims?

“The heart of Life by You is the community,” says Rod Humble, General Manager of Paradox Tectonic. “We’ve created a sandbox where players can tell any story they want. From deeply personal to esoteric or fan fiction stories, they can live life to the fullest – or break the rules if they feel like it!”

With the extensive edition options and content of the base game, Life by You has the potential to become a real competitor to  “The Sims” . The EA brand has come under increasing criticism in recent years due to the sale of expansions, some of which are very small. As a debate on Reddit shows, this is also related to the lack of serious competition from the community’s point of view.
So we can look forward to seeing what Early Access will change in June
