No big titles will be released in the coming days, but it could be the time for insider tips

Which games will be released on Steam in the coming days? We have the answer to this question for you, but this much in advance: Big titles are in short supply.

However, this is no reason to get desperate and go out into the fresh air or tidy up your apartment. Because there are still a whole handful of games coming out that could provide you with many hours of fun

Highlight of the week: Little Kitty, Big City

(Genre: Adventure – Developer: Double Dagger Studio – Release: May 9, 2024)

(Little Kitty, Big City on Steam )

It may sound strange, but this game is on the radar or even on the wish list of no fewer than 27,490 Steam users at the time of writing. Among them are probably many cat lovers who can’t resist the sight of the sugar-sweet Miezi

What’s it all about? You play the little kitten who wakes up after a long nap in a big city and should actually be on her way home. But cats wouldn’t be cats if they didn’t have a mind of their own

Therefore, you’ll be plodding through the urban game world, exploring the open world, making friends with other animals, completing quests and even upsetting the odd human, muhaha!

Oh, but remember: at some point you should show up at home!

More exciting Steam releases of the week

Tuesday, May 7

  • Farm Together 2: Build your own farm with all the trimmings, either alone or with friends in co-op.
  • Heading Out: In this racing game, you race across the USA in a car. The highlight: you don’t even know where you’ll end up.

    Wednesday, May 8

    • Gift: You wake up as an old man on a cruise ship. Unfortunately, the ship is sinking. You have to make an exciting escape in time.

    Thursday, May 9

    • Animal Well: A Metroidvania in pixel optics, in which you as a small life form explore a mysterious well full of creatures and secrets.
    • Cryptmaster: An unusual role-playing game in two respects. Firstly, the game world is completely immersed in black and white, and secondly, you can type words or even speak to interact with the environment.
    • Crow Country: A retro adventure game in which you explore a disused amusement park. If you’re not put off by the old-fashioned look, you could experience some entertaining scary fun here.
    • King Arthur: Legion IX: A mixture of turn-based tactics and role-playing. You guide the Roman tribune Gaius Julius Mento through the fantasy world of Avalon, where he must face demonic forces.

      Friday, May 10

      • Gatekeeper: A roguelike in which you search for nothing less than the heart of the universe. You have to make your way through hordes of hostile machines. If you don’t want to go it alone, you can also tackle the adventure in co-op.

There you have it: even if you’re not necessarily fond of cats, you might still get your money’s worth this week. After all, the new releases cover a wide range of genres.

And don’t worry, the PC port of Ghost of Tsushima will also be released next week.
