For some time now, the rumor mill has been buzzing about the possible release of an improved version of the PlayStation 5, the so-called PS5 Pro So far, however, Sony has not revealed any official information about such a console. Now insider information on the presumed hardware of the PS5 Pro has allegedly surfaced, causing a stir.

technical specifications in focus

Richard Leadbetter from Digital Foundry is said to have provided insights into the presumed features of the PS5 Pro in a podcast episode. According to this information, the console will have more than 30 Work Group Processors (WGP) and up to 36.1 teraflops. In comparison, the standard version of the PS5 only has 18 WGP and 10.23 teraflops.

Powerful upgrades and improved performance

The potential PS5 Pro promises significantly higher performance than its predecessor. Thanks to the improved hardware, the console should be able to deliver razor-sharp 4K resolution at a stable 60 frames per second. This would represent a significant upgrade compared to the previous standard version and enable an even more immersive gaming experience.

Further improvements and speculation about the release

In addition to the increased clock rate of the RDNA-3 GPU, other components of the console are also to be optimized. For example, the GL1 cache and the GL0V cache are to be doubled. Despite the exciting speculation, it remains to be seen when and if Sony will officially announce the PS5 Pro. Until then, gamers will have to wait eagerly for more information
