A new Jurassic World Evolution is in the works and could be released as early as 2025. Developer Frontier Developments also reveals further plans

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is really coming! This has now been officially announced by developer Frontier Developments. There’s already a release date and Dinopark fans won’t have to wait too much longer.

We summarize all known information about JWE3 and what Frontier has announced about other game plans

What we know about Jurassic World Evolution 3

When will it be released? The release period is between June 2025 and May 2026, a specific date is not yet known. The first Jurassic World Evolution was released in June 2018, the second in November 2021.

What’s inside? Nothing has yet been announced about the exact content, but we can assume that the familiar gameplay will continue: You build your own dinosaur park, dig up new fossils, clone giant lizards from them, place them in enclosures and fulfill the wishes of your visitors.

The film studio Universal Pictures is working with us again, so new dinosaurs from the next movie will probably end up in the game. It is scheduled to be released in the USA on July 2, 2025. There is no trailer yet

While the new films have met with relatively little love from fans (and our dino freak Steffi), the JWE games have been very popular so far and are among Frontier’s most successful titles. Part 1 has 84 percent positive Steam reviews, part 2 even has 88 percent. The impressively lifelike dinosaurs in particular are causing a lot of cheering – also in our test.

On the other hand, the games don’t offer nearly as much creative freedom as other construction sims from Frontier, such as Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster with their modular building options. It remains to be seen whether more of these elements will be incorporated into JWE3. Even more construction games Those hoping for other construction sims from the studio, which is extremely experienced in the genre, can also hope for good news soon: Frontier wants to release a new game every year, with the next one (not yet announced) coming out between June 2024 and May 2025. Maybe there’ll be an announcement at Summer Game Fest?

This means that the time for new Planet Zoo DLCs is coming to an end, and the developers are likely to gradually move on to new projects. Of course, construction fans are already speculating wildly about what’s coming next: Planet Coaster 2? A whole new brand? We’ll let you know as soon as we know more. Do you have any ideas?
