As every week, Epic is once again giving away a free game. This time you can build your own donut factory in a cute puzzler

We admit it: it’s not just Chief Wiggum from The Simpsons, butwe at GlobalESportNews also like to eat doughnuts. If there’s a box on the kitchen table here in the editorial office, you can be sure that its contents won’t last long. There are too many people with a sweet tooth in our team.

If you love donuts as much as we do, then it’s worth taking a look at the latest free game in the Epic Games Store. Because like every week, the Steam competitor is giving away another free gift This time it’s a relaxing factory puzzler

The free game of the week: Freshly Frosted

(Genre:Puzzle game –Release:June 2022 –Developer:The Quantum Astrophysicist Guild)

The premise of Freshly Frosted is very simple Imagine a doughnut factory floating in the clouds. You have to manage this factory and make sure that the donuts find their way through the factory from start to finish of the production chain

Manage is perhaps a big word at this point, because Freshly Frosted is not a business simulation Rather, the puzzler is simply about organizing the conveyor belts so that there are no obstacles in the way of the sweet doughnuts and everyone gets the right topping. After all, there should be a doughnut for all tastes

To challenge your urge to optimize, Freshly Frosted comes up with 144 puzzles. You place separators, pushers and teleporters and select all kinds of different ingredients and donut shapes. As is typical of the genre, the game is primarily aimed at casual gamers and those who are simply looking for a little diversion while playing.

Here are the delicious donuts

Is that all?

In addition to the free game, Epic has another bonus for you: For the free-to-play title Rumble Club, the Fortnite makers are giving you a bundle of 1,000 gold, 200 gems and an exclusive emote.

What other games are free?

For the sake of completeness, we would like to inform you that GOG, CD Projekt’s games marketplace, also offers a permanent selection of free titles, including the first two parts of The Elder Scrolls, Daggerfall and Arena. It’s particularly worthwhile for fans of retro games to check here regularly

(To the free games from Gog)

Admittedly: Epic doesn’t have the really big hit this week. However, we can hardly expect to be constantly presented with top-class AAA titles such as Dragon Age: Inquisition, as was the case just a few weeks ago.

So if there wasn’t anything for you this time, just check back with us next week when the next game gift arrives.
