The most important changes in Grim Dawn 1.2.1
The perfect time for minion builds
The heart of the update are the extensive changes to the Summoner Builds, because Crate Entertainment has significantly expanded the build options for companions
These changes in patch 1.2.1 give the pet builds a significant boost: Not only are their special attacks now stronger, but you are now less dependent on certain item sets to create really strong summoner builds.
More comfort with Nemesis bosses
Another important change concerns the Nemesis bosses: These particularly strong enemies now appear randomly near the player as soon as they have defeated monsters from their faction. You no longer have to run to their fixed spawn positions
Major balance adjustments
The aim is to reduce the gap between builds with extremely high physical resistance and builds with low physical resistance.
- Damage and Resistance:Physical Resistance is now more common on certain gear slots, but in smaller quantities. In return, enemies generally deal less physical damage, which should lead to a more even balance.
- Reworked two-handed melee weapons:New movement sequences and improved animations make the use of these weapons more dynamic. The two-handed spears have been reclassified so that their movements now fit better.
- New item categories:Consumables have been divided into three categories: Elixirs, Oils and Tinctures. Only one item from each category can be active at a time, with cooldowns being shared.
Finally, the user interface has also been updated:The item tooltips now only display the most important information by default.
You can still display detailed descriptions by holding down the Ctrl key.
For those who always want to see all the details, there is an option in the settings to permanently activate the detailed tooltips.
