After rumors that an Assassin’s Creed remake has been in development for some time, Ubisoft’s CEO has now made it official
Ubisoft CEO Yvey Guillemot has madetwo important announcements in a promotional interviewthat could lead to cries of joy from Assassin’s Creed fans. Not only will new games in the successful franchisebe released more regularly
you can also look forward to several remakes of past installments.

While Guillemot doesn’t go into detail about how much more regularly new Assassin’s Creed spin-offs will be released, he does at least elaborate on the announcement of the remakes:
Players can look forward to some remakes that allow us to revisit and modernize some of the games we’ve created in the past.
Guillemot leaves open which parts are to receive a remake. Instead, he makes another interesting statement about future AC games that should make fans sit up and take notice:
There are worlds in some of our older Assassin’s Creed games that are still pretty rich.
This can refer to the remakes as well as completely new games. In the latter case, it could mean that there will be new games in the same world or in the same setting of a past spin-off. For example, another Assassin’s Creed in the sunny Caribbean, similar to Black Flag, would be possible. However, this is of coursepure speculation
Inour ranking of all Assassin’s Creed gamesbothPart 2and Black Flag have done extremely well. As both have been around for more than a decade, these two parts would be particularly suitable for a remake. Of course, it remains to be seen which games will actually end up being remade.
More remakes from Ubisoft
The remakes of Assassin’s Creed are not the only reinterpretations from Ubisoft. Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell are also to be honored with a remake. However, production is not looking so rosy
WhilePrince of Persia: The Sands of Timeis apparentlyin development hell, the remake ofSplinter Cellhas hardly been heard of since it was announced in 2021.
Before remakes of well-known Assassin’s Creed games are released, you can first look forward to AC: Shadows at the end of this year. Now that the series has returned to its beginnings in terms of gameplay with Mirage, the question naturally arises as to what will happen with Shadows.
