We show you the most important releases on Steam – and this week you can expect building games, shooters and DLCs for big games
There’s war in this week’s Steam Releases of the Week!
War against hordes of monsters, against gangs of gangsters, against alien invaders – and love is more or less war too.
As every Monday, we present the most important new Steam releases of the week. In any case, it will be quite varied and of course just as exciting.
Table of Contents
Highlight of the week: Cataclismo
(Genre: Strategy –Developer: Digital Sun –Release: July 22 (Steam / Early Access)
InCataclismoyou dive into an exciting mixture of building game and siege strategy.
The central game mechanic revolves around building fortresses from individual bricks, reminiscent of building with LEGO to secure your stronghold against waves of monsters.
During the day, you collect resources and expand your fortress. Wood and stone are important materials that need to be collected by workers so that you can build larger and stronger structures.
At night, the game switches to a siege mode in which you must test your defenses against attacking hordes of monsters.
Different unit types come into play: archers shoot from an elevated position, while heavily armed melee fighters are on the front line. Each unit has its own strengths and weaknesses, which you must use strategically to survive
