The new trailer forAtomfallbegins in a classic news broadcast from the 1950s, underlining the game’s historical inspiration. The action-survival game is loosely based on the real-life events of the 1957 Windscale disaster, which sets the game in a fictional quarantine zone in the north of England. This zone is a dangerous terrain that offers a mixture of idyllic English villages, hilly landscapes, dark caves and abandoned bunkers. But beneath the seemingly peaceful surface lurks a dark secret that players can only uncover with a trusty metal detector and a great deal of courage.

Encounters with the unknown In Atomfall, players are not only confronted with the hostile environment. They also find themselves in dialogue with eccentric characters and mysterious organizations that have been trapped in the quarantine zone for years. The groups that have developed during the isolation are unpredictable and can be both friend and foe. This makes interaction with them all the more crucial, as they are crucial to the progress of the game. Should peaceful negotiations fail, players can fall back on an arsenal of ranged and melee weapons.

Atomfall is scheduled for release inMarch 2025for PC, PlayStation and Xbox and will be available in Game Pass from Day 1. The game will also be available for PC players via Steam and the Epic Games Store. For many, Atomfall is the British answer to the popular Fallout franchise.
