A major update for the role-playing game is coming in September. The developers give a foretaste of what fans can expect
Baldur’s Gate 3celebrated a small anniversary at the beginning of August. After all, the multi-award-winning role-playing game was released a year ago. A lot has been done with the game during this time,as new statistics show.
And Larian is still working on Baldur’s Gate 3, which is constantly receiving small improvements.The big Patch 7 has been announced for September 2024.Larian is now revealing which new evil endings fans can look forward to.

Two completely different ending sequences
On August 19Larianshared a teaser for the upcoming update on X (formerly Twitter), which will also expand the Dark Urge.

As Dark Urge, your character is narratively designed to be evil through and through.You willessentially become a vicious mass murderer. In the video you can see how the player character takes control of the consciousness of his companions.
As if that wasn’t enough, he forces his party members to plunge to their doom. Immediately afterwards, the player character follows suit.

Another video shows a second possible ending for a Dark Urge character. This ending is a little more subtle.

It shows how the inhabitants of Baldur’s Tor are all under the influence of mind control. They think they are free. But in reality, people are living in a false reality that feels like infinite, mindless bliss.
Patch 7 will be released in September 2024.In addition to the possible endings for Dark Urge players, the update has a lot of improvements and expansions in store. Patch 7 was actually said to be the final update for Baldur’s Gate 3.However, Larian themselves wrote a few weeks ago that they weren’t finished yet.
And that’s huge considering how much time Larian has already put into the role-playing game. Just recently, the game’s cinematic director revealed how much effort and work went into the intimate moments, for example.
