Bellum wants to give tactical shooters a new direction and gathers veterans from the community and studios

Squad, Hell Let Loose and Arma are all examples of popular tactical shooters that have enjoyed great success. But the genre itself is stuck, at least according to well-known YouTuber and is launching his own project with Bellum.

Big battles with a modern arsenal

On theofficial websitethe studio Astarte Industries promises a “fresh gameplay loop” with the visual power of Unreal Engine 5.

Concrete details about the game are scarce, however, so we summarize for you what is already known about Bellum:

  • Large battles with maps on the African continent
  • Realistic gunplay and modern tactical warfare with the latest weapons, technologies and vehicles
  • Weapon systems operated by a crew
  • A “sophisticated medical system”
  • “Comprehensive command and control systems”
  • Electronic warfare

The studio is run by Karmakut himself and has recruited developers who have already worked on tactical shooters such as Squad, Arma and Ground Branch

Bellum does not yet have a planned release windowand nothing is currently known about the planned platforms.

In addition to the little information on the website, there is the following teaser for Bellum:

The community is skeptical

While playersare generally positiveabout the YouTuber “one of their own” working on a new tactical shooter, many still lackmore precise information about the gameand a clear statement of what makes it so different now.

Under an X post by content creatorMoiDawgabout the game, userKevin Sredz writes:“Remains to be seen what really sets it apart from the others. The trailer alone doesn’t look like anything spectacular or special. “

X userTom Sestonis also skeptical, writing:“It’s very easy to make awesome looking trailers and promise the world. I’m extremely skeptical of all new game announcements. “

But there is also more positive feedback under the official YouTube video &nbsp. For example, @daddyspartanvr says:“I can’t wait to see how it develops. ”

And @bricksclip is also very interested and explains:“I’m curious to see what gameplay features you’ve come up with to make this unique. ”

So far, the trailer and the first details look promising, at least for some of the community. Nevertheless, a great deal of skepticism remains due to the scant information available.

What features would Bellum have to offer to convince you and set it apart from other representatives of the genre? Let us know in the comments.
