Project Borealis: Prologue – This is what Half-Life 3 looks like, which fans no longer wanted to wait for

Only Valve guru Gabe Newell really knows whether Half-Life 3 will ever be released. But impatient fans (they’re only 17 years old!) couldn’t be bothered to wait any longer and got together to create their own new Half-Life episode with Project Borealis: Prologue.

You can see the result in the teaser trailer above. Not much is shown yet, but it’s already clear that a lot has changed graphically compared to Half-Life 2 Episode 2. For example, we didn’t know that headcrabs have so much fluffy hair, did you?!

The scenery’s lighting is also quite impressive. Now the fan project just has to be good in terms of gameplay and many fans could be happy. It shouldn’t be too long before the prologue of Project Borealis is released. We can expect a tasty appetizer as early as fall 2024.
