After all, the ship’s doctor of the straw hat pirates is a… human-elk creature. So it’s definitely a challenge to make Chopper look credible and not irritating in the Netflix series (as was the case with the first version of Kino-Sonic, for example).

fans only get to see a small teaser here and not Chopper in all his glory. But the short shot is enough to get fans excited about the live-action adaptation of the ship’s doctor. Just take a look for yourself:

On X (formerly Twitter) or Reddit the community is definitely impressed by Chopper’s look in the real movie adaptation.

We will probably get a full look at Chopper in the first trailer for One Piece. You can find the aforementioned Chopper scene at the very end of the following video:

By the way: Those in charge of One Piece had already promised that a mixture of CGI and handmade effects would be used for Chopper – just like for Arlong’s fishmen in season 1. The first picture now shows that CGI definitely takes the lion’s share.

It is currently unknown when season 2 of One Piece will start on Netflix.A release of the new episodes towards the end of 2025 would not be unlikely. In this regard, fans will have to exercise patience for the time being.

Meanwhile, many, many new actors have been announced for the upcoming season of the series in the last few days and weeks. For example, Joe Manganiello as Sir Crocodile, Charithra Chandran as Vivi, Callum Kerr as Smoker and Lera Abova as Nico Robin.
