The second update for the PC version of the role-playing game only brings two changes. But they fix particularly annoying bugs.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has received a patch 2, the download time of which you probably won’t even notice. That’s because the update only contains two bug fixes – which is why we’re not putting the complete patch notes on page 2, but right here in this article. Caution:

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a rare issue where an existing Rook’s settings could be unintentionally reset after creating and saving a new Rook.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when launching the game through Shader Compilation.

What exactly does that mean?

On PC, you currently have room for up to 10 different Rooks (on consoles, there are only 3 free character slots). If you created a new character, it could happen that one or more of your previous Rooks suddenly looked different. Not anymore!

The second change also fixes an annoying bug that sometimes caused The Veilguard to crash before the game even started. We were spared from such problems during testing, and in general the role-playing game has been running smoothly since its release – all the better that even rare crashes should now become even rarer.

Bioware announced that further updates will be announced in the coming weeks. We will of course keep you informed!

Many fans would like to see the character limit removed so that they can build even more Rooks. Console players in particular are very limited, as three slots are not even enough to create a Rook from each playable species. Whether this will change in future patches remains to be seen.
