The “Pro Enhanced” patch has been released for some PS5 games, promising improved graphics quality. For the PlayStation community, there are four favorites that look best with the update.
The PlayStation 5 Pro was released at the beginning of the month, promising a technical leap forward in exchange for its high purchase price of 800 euros. This is to be particularly evident in games that come with a “PS5 Pro Enhanced” patch.
Put simply, this is an update that polishes up some technical aspects of games on the PS5 Pro. These include improved or completely new ray-tracing effects, higher (stable) frame rates and dynamic resolutions. Sony announced more than 50 games that will receive a “Pro Enhanced” patch.
Three weeks have passed since the release of the PlayStation 5 Pro – enough time for the PS5 Pro to draw an interim conclusion. The simple question: Which games have benefited the most from the PlayStation 5 Pro?
For people with Ps5 Pro’s, what is your favorite PS5 Pro Enhanced game so far?

PS5 Pro Enhanced: Four Games Are Most Frequently Named
The two games in the Horizon universe stand out as probably the most frequently and favorably mentioned: both Zero Dawn and Forbidden West look “incredibly good and high-resolution”.
The same applies to Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, which has not gone unnoticed by Digital Foundry and was able to show itself from its most magnificent side in a detailed examination on the PS5 Pro:
One of the most important features of the PS5 Pro is “PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution”. With the upscaler, Sony has promised more stable frame rates at higher resolutions – and Stellar Blade in particular seems to work best with PSSR.
- But there is also a bonus for games that have not received an enhanced patch directly, as some Reddit comments explain.
- Helldivers 2 benefits from the improved hardware of the PS5 Pro alone: “In performance mode, it feels like a completely different game,” is the enthusiastic conclusion. The shooter looks much less pixelated and maintains a constant 60 frames per second. On the regular console, it was only 40 FPS.
Some games are not even included in the list due to the short-term nature of their update, but they could definitely be worth a closer look – for example, the racing simulation Gran Turismo 7
- When the update to version 1.54 was introduced, the developers explainedthat “experimental support for 8K resolution” was on board. Tracks and cars can be seen in “unprecedented detail and clarity”.
- The new raytracing features introduced in the enhanced patch should also ensure this: the feature is also activated on the PS5 Pro during the race and fully reproduces the reflections of other cars, for example.
Now it’s your turn: Which game looks best thanks to the PS5 Pro Enhanced Patch? Which title should get such an update? Let us know in the comments!
