The release of the Nintendo Switch 2 is getting closer and closer and slowly rumors and leaks are piling up. We have summarized the most important information for you regarding release, price and technical data.

Price: How much does the Switch 2 cost?

Currently, there is no official information about the price of the console.However, if we believe the leaker “moistycharlie”, who correctly predicted the price and announcement date of the Playstation 5 Pro, then the console will start at $400 and will come in two versions.

However, apart from correctly predicting the PS5 Pro, this leaker is a complete unknown, so you should treat this information with caution for now. The reported price is consistent with earlier rumors, though.

Reveal: When will the Switch 2 be announced?

According to several sources, the Switch 2 is not expected to be released until March 2025 at the earliest.A new leak from the Famiboard forum also points to this. According to this, the reveal is supposed to take place in January and delivery is supposed to follow in March. This rumor is supported by the Spanish magazine Nintenduo. They claim to have learned from six game development studios that games are in the works for the Switch 2, scheduled for release in the summer of 2025.

Nintendo also intends to ensure that the console is produced in sufficient quantities to prevent scalping. Initial leaks suggest a quantity of seven million units. By comparison, the Nintendo Switch sold about 2.74 million units in its first month.

Technical data: What specs will the Switch 2 have?

  • Processor: Nvidia T239 (Ampere architecture)
  • Cuda cores: 1,536
  • Memory: 8 to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM
  • Storage capacity: 64 to 256 GB eMMC or UFS 3.1
  • Graphics technologies: DLSS 2 or even DLSS 3.5 and Ray Reconstruction
  • Screen: 8-inch LCD with full HD resolution
  • Battery: Larger capacity than its predecessor. Possibly replaceable.

If we believe the latest leaks and rumors, these could be the technical specifications of the Nintendo Switch 2.
