In Rematch, you don’t play the whole team, just one player. So you’ll need to coordinate well with your kicker colleagues in the multiplayer game.
The creators of the celebrated martial arts game Sifu have unveiled their next title in the wake of the Game Awards – it’s just as sporty, but with Rematch, the studio Sloclap is venturing into multiplayer territory this time.
What do we know about Rematch?
The above trailer already shows quite a bit of gameplay and if you look closely, you will also notice the small number of players on the field. In Rematch, the teams consist of only five playersand not the usual eleven.
More info about Rematch:
- Arcade gameplay: In Rematch, there are no fouls and no offside
- There should be other game modes besides the 5v5 mode
- Seasons: With seasonal content, Rematch is supposed to be regularly updated with cosmetics and game modes
- Multiplayer only: Rematch is completely focused on playing with friends, single-player friends are left empty-handed
- Team-Focused: If you want to be successful, you should coordinate with the other players. So tactics also play a role!
- Goalkeeper: The keeper plays completely differently, so there seems to be no flying switch between players.
Rematch is to be released on both Playstation and Xbox consoles, as well as on PC. An exact release date has not yet been revealed, but it is expected to be in the summer of 2025. However, you can already add the game to your wishlist on Steam.
