New content for Season 2

Season 2 delivers a ton of fresh content for you to unlock and try out:

New multiplayer maps

  • Bounty (6v6): This medium-sized map takes place in a luxurious penthouse in a skyscraper. The story behind it: a local crime boss is celebrating the last coup with his team – but the party quickly turns into bloody chaos.
  • Dealership (6v6): Welcome to the Pallasar Car Dealership, the hotspot for luxury vehicles – and the perfect cover. Behind the glittering facades, a black market is hidden where weapons, ammunition and more are traded.
  • Lifeline (6v6, 2v2): The scenario here is an attack on a luxurious yacht in the middle of the open sea. The map is compact and action-packed.
  • The Tomb (Zombies mode) : A vast desert map set in an archaeological dig site.

The Zombies map Citadelle des Morts has also been heavily reworked.

New multiplayer modes in Season 2

  • Overdrive (at launch): Team Deathmatch with a twist – collect stars to win the game.
  • Gun Game (starting in week 2): Classic free-for-all – eliminate opponents to progress through 20 weapons.
  • Couples Dance Off (for a limited time for Valentine’s Day): 2v2 gunfight with Team Deathmatch, Domination and Kill Confirmed.
  • Third Wheel Gunfight (limited-time Valentine’s Day event): 3v3 Gunfight for those who prefer to play in a trio.

New weapons and cosmetics

  • Battle Pass: Over 100 rewards await, including ninja operators, new weapon blueprints, skins, sprays and much more.
  • New weapons: A total of three new weapons are included in the battle pass – the Cypher 091 assault rifle, the Feng 82 LMG, and the PPSh-41 submachine gun. You can also unlock the TR2 sniper rifle in an event.

Weapon modifications and balancing

The update introduces a whole range of adjustments to weapons to make gameplay fairer.

General changes

  • Bullet Penetration: Bullet penetration has been reduced as it was often able to penetrate an unrealistic number of obstacles. Further changes are planned.

Fast Mags

The Fast-Mag-Attachments have been noticeably improved:

  • Fast Mag I, II and III: 10% faster reload times for all weapon types except pistols.
  • Fast Mag I and II (pistols): Reloading time reduced by 5%.
  • LMG magazines (up to 50 rounds): Reloading time 5% faster.
  • AS VAL: Standard magazine now reloads 10% faster.

Shotgun Buffs

All shotguns in Black Ops 6 receive small improvements, while the Maelstrom has been significantly reworked:

  • Maelstrom: Can kill at close range with a single shot. It also got range and rate of fire increases to make it more competitive.

Light Machine Guns

The PU-21 is now a faster LMG option:

  • Pre-Fire-Delay reduced from 55ms to 20ms.
  • Sprint-to-Fire speed improved (245ms to 240ms).
  • Tactical Sprint-to-Fire speed also decreased (335ms to 330ms).

Of course, there are more changes in the areas of movement, perks and XP balancing waiting for you. Adjustments to Warzone maps like Urzikstan and Area 99 are also included.
