The next and final major update for Larian’s role-playing game is coming soon. Apparently, it contains more new content than previously known.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is almost complete. Well, the game itself has of course been more than finished for a long time – but an update with a lot of content is still coming. The long-awaited patch 8 is currently being tested by the community and exciting changes have been noticed that were previously unknown.
Apparently there are two new endings for the story! Both sound relatively to absolutely evil, but that’s exactly what adds to the fun in Baldur’s Gate 3. From here on, there are spoilers for the finale, of course. If you’re not ready for them yet, then take a look at the officially announced changes to Patch 8.
Complete chaos? Not Tav’s problem
The new endings are apparently two variations of a particular approach. In this approach, you take control of the mighty enemy in the final battle against Nesserbrain. This is pretty evil, because you use it to bring chaos and destruction to the world, all for your own purposes.
What is new, however, is the option to pull the tadpole out of the brain afterwards, so that you yourself are no longer under the Thoughtflayer’s control. Now you can simply turn away from the end of the worldthat you have just caused. In version 1, you take your companions with you; in version 2, you leave them behind as slaves to the mind. Well, cheers.

When will patch 8 for Baldur’s Gate 3 be released? This has not yet been determined; as mentioned, the update is currently being tested. It is supposed to bring 12 new subclasses into the game, which alone should be quite complex in terms of balancing. It also includes a photo mode and much more, read more in the linked articles above.
