Elder Scrolls 6: Those who dig deep into their pockets now could become part of the role-playing game

Together with a charitable organization, the Skyrim developers are collecting money for a good cause. The prize is an appearance in Elder Scrolls 6.

It will probably be several more years before we can set foot in the world of The Elder Scrolls 6 for the first time. But one fan already has the opportunity to become a part of the role-playing game and create an NPC for the fantasy world.

However, this will cost quite a few sevenths: Bethesda is auctioning off the appearance in Elder Scrolls 6 and donating the proceeds to a good cause.

What is behind the campaign?

The whole thing was recently advertised by the official Twitter account of Bethesda Game Studios. The developers are working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an international non-profit organization. The foundation’s mission is to fulfill the greatest wish of seriously ill children free of charge and is funded by donations.

These donations are often collected by auctioning off valuables or experiences, as in the case of The Elder Scrolls 6. Whoever wins the auction gets to work with Bethesda to create an NPC for the developer’s next big role-playing game.

If you want to participate, you should have a lot of money though. The current highest bid is around $11,000and the auction will continue for several more days.

Not the first fan appearance

It’s not the first time that the Skyrim developers have immortalized a fan in one of their games. In Fallout 4, for example, you can meet a character named Evan in the Nuka World expansion pack and have a short conversation with him.

However, there is a sad story behind this: Evan is also the name of a Fallout fan who died shortly before the release of the expansion. His brother, also a big fan, shared on Reddit how Fallout 4 had helped him process his loss. In response, the developers decided to have Evan appear in the game.

What a passionate fan will pay for their own Elder Scrolls NPC, we will probably never know. But when The Elder Scrolls 6 is released in the hopefully not too distant future, we may be able to discover the character that made it into the role-playing game in this way.
