Shortly before the release of the new RTX 5060 Ti, Nvidia has officially announced the 5060 models. The price and VRAM are particularly noteworthy.
The RTX 5070 is followed by the RTX 5060 Ti and the RTX 5060. Nvidia has now announced more official details about the GPUs.
The RTX 5060 Ti is already available today, as are reviews of the graphics card. You can find our test of the RTX 5060 Ti here. The RTX 5060, on the other hand, will not be available until May, on a date that has not yet been specified.
Rumors that the embargo on the RTX 5060 will still be lifted today have not been confirmed. Nvidia has not yet given us a specific date. There will be no Founders Edition of any of the new GPUs from Nvidia itself.
Prices and release dates:
- RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB: $449, April 16, 2025
- RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB: $399, April 16, 2025
- RTX 5060: $299, May 2025
Reminder: The RTX 4060 Ti with 8 GB had an RRP of €439 when it was released, while the 16 GB model was priced at €549 when it was released around two months later. However, the price has ultimately fallen significantly.
Nvidia has not yet announced any prices in euros for the RTX 5060. Its predecessor started at €329, which is likely to be very similar for this generation given the dollar price.
The technical data of the new graphics cards
The table below shows what the new RTX 5000 GPUs have to offer in terms of technology. The RTX 5060 Ti with 16 gigabytes differs from the 8 GB model only in its memory configuration.
The RTX 5060 also has 8 GB VRAM. There are no plans to release a version of this model with more memory in the future.

Benchmarks from Nvidia
Nvidia compares the new graphics cards with their predecessors in its own measurements. As always with manufacturer benchmarks, they should be treated with a certain degree of caution, if only because they unsurprisingly cherry-pick the best results.
According to this, the RTX 5060 Ti is almost six times faster than the RTX 3060 Ti in the best case, but this GPU does not support frame generation, a feature that can have a significant impact on FPS.
According to Nvidia, the RTX 5060 should also be around six times faster than its predecessor from the RTX 3000 generation in the best case, but the same caveat applies here.
A major point of discussion
Even before its release, the RTX 5060 Ti model with 8 GB is causing discussion. For example, our colleagues at PC Games Hardware have decided not to test the GPU at all.
So far, we have only received one test sample of the RTX 5060 Ti with 16 GB. You can find out if and when we will receive a model with 8 GB and how we will proceed with testing at GlobalESportNews,
