We all love The Ascent – but the review broke our hearts, because at its core the game does so much right: it looks beautiful and motivates with a great spiral of items and brute combat.
When it works. And it does less and less the longer you play – especially not in co-op, which turned out to be almost unplayable. A day-one patch is supposed to fix some of the problems, but by far not all. Therefore, after our test, we can only urge caution.
