After the spring splits of the big leagues (LEC, LCS, LCK) were suspended last week, there is now good news for LoL fans. The Spring Splits will return as an online format this weekend.

Online formats against corona
The Corona-induced stalemate in the League of Legends world will soon end. The major leagues will now continue as online formats to ensure that the game does not fall behind completely. While this will keep local spectators out of the game, at least the action can be followed via the streams.

The European LEC and the LCS from North America will already start again this weekend. According to reports from ESPN, the South Korean LCK will also resume online play by the end of March. The three currently suspended leagues are thus following the example of the Chinese LPL, which has been online for some time.
