Why Diablo Immortal Is Being Moved Again‎

Diablo fans will have to be patient for the coming year: The mobile game Diablo Immortal will be postponed again. The reason for this is the upcoming improvement work after the Closed Alpha.

Blizzard Entertainment announced on Tuesday in a blog postto postpone the release date of the mobile game Diablo Immortal to the first half of 2022. Here’s what’s behind the decision

Late-game content and controller support

The new Diablo part is to be released for iOS and Android and will take place between the events of Diablo II and Diablo III. Originally, the release was planned for this year. As the developer has now announced, the game will not be released until next year after feedback from the closed alpha.

Blizzard is therefore currently still working on some weak points of the game. The developer announced the following aspects that are currently being improved:

– For users who have reached the maximum level, the game should still offer exciting content. Blizzard is therefore testing possibilities as to which features and changes will make this possible.

– PvP content such as Cycle of Strife will be changed to make it easier to access. This is an optional PvP system, which is accessible at the end-game stage.
The late-game content Helliquary will also be revised. The feature is open from level 45. Players can fight against very difficult “boss demons”. A new boss is to be added to the game every month.

– Diablo Immortal may be a mobile game, but Blizzard plans for it to be controllable with controllers.

– However, there is no exact release date yet. In the wake of the current controversies, Blizzard presumably has other issues to fight that are in focus.
