In FIFA 22 it is possible to award a player with up to three Perks. This applies in this case to created players in career mode and in Pro Clubs.

More and more features and innovations are coming together for FIFA 22, which will be released in October. Perks expand the possibilities for players in Career Mode and Pro Clubs. Last week EA Sports explained this new feature and other changes in the official Pitch Notes. We’ve already reported on the changes to Career Mode, which includes the return of Create a Club.

Self-created players in the modes can be equipped with different Perks, which specifically improves their stats in certain areas. However, perks usually only become active when certain situations occur in matches – this leads to a more exciting dynamic in matches.

Perks are unlocked as players evolve and become stronger with the level-up system. Three of them can be assigned to a player at a time. There are four types of Perks that provide enhancements to the following areas. Three Perks are exclusive to Career Mode:

– Attacking Support: attacking skills of all teammates improved, finishing, long-range shots and shooting power

– Defensive Coverage: defensive skills and awareness of all teammates improved, ball recoveries and tackling

– Chance creation: passing vision and awareness of all teammates improved, passing, crossing and spin

Perks are visible in the game above the player’s head and in the top right corner. As soon as a perk lights up, it is active. Some Perks can even help teammates play better.

Generally in Career Mode and Pro Clubs, there are four types of Perks that improve your player. These include:

– Attacking Perks
– Chance-creation Perks
– Defensive Perks
– Goalkeeper Perks
– For example, the attacking perk “Assist

Streak” is suitable for this as soon as the player equipped with it has given an assist. Thereupon, the perk activates the “Swerve Pass” property for 15 minutes of play, whereby a dangerous as well as decisive pass is played. In defence, the “Physical Strengh” perk can be activated, which increases the strength values for successful ball control, defensive actions or headers.
