Another big addon for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released this year. We collect all the info on The Siege of Paris.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla wants to keep you happy with regular content updates. Ubisoft took a while to fix the bugs after release, but delivered new free content like the river raids in parallel.
In addition to the two major DLCs for 2021, additional expansions have since been announced for 2022. So AC Valhalla will be with us for a while yet!
These are the confirmed DLCs for AC Valhalla
The Siege of Paris
When will The Siege of Paris be released? The patch notes forUpdate 1.3.0 reveal the release date of the DLC. From 12 August 2021, you will be able to let off steam in France.
What’s in The Siege of Paris? Unlike the first DLC, this one is about well-documented historical events. The eponymous siege of the then Frankish city took place from 885 to 886. Eivor will play an important role in the conflict and will probably also be responsible for the outcome – which of course has already been determined, but we won’t give anything away at this point.
Your most important opponent is Emperor Charles III, who will throw his armies at you. According to the developers, you can expect intrigues behind the city walls, but also open battles including catapults and ships.
Just like the first expansion Wrath of the Druids, Siege of Paris will bring a whole new set of enemies like the elite French Cavalry Knights who carry new weapons, skills and equipment into battle. Taking to Twitter, the developers have unveiled these new enemies for Eivor to take on:
In The Siege of Paris, Frankish Knights will keep you on your toes while in the throes of battle. 🐎

In addition, the black box infiltration missions are coming back as particularly crunchy Assassin missions. In them, you’ll be given a target, but you’re completely free to decide how you want to get there and how you want to take out your target.
Season Event: The Sigrblot Festival in AC Valhalla, which is the prequel to the DLC, runs until 19 August. In it, you’ll complete lots of quests, collect tokens and get rewards such as the first one-handed sword.
Leaks reveal heaps of Paris DLC details
Famous Youtuber and leaker J0nathan and andyreloads already correctly predicted many details from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and the Wrath of the Druids DLC.
They pull their information directly from the game files and back it up with screenshots or videos with models they have unlocked themselves. The rumours thus appear credible, even if they have not yet been officially confirmed.
This general info comes from j0nathan:
– Time Jump: The Siege of Paris is said to take place eight years after the end of the main storyline, which fits right in with the historical template. AC Valhalla spans the year 877, in the DLC you then land in the year 885.
– Story: The Frankish king Charles III.is brutal against the Northmen in his realm. Eivor and allies decide to intervene – which means crossing into France.
– Start: Like the first DLC, The Siege of Paris will start with a visitor arriving at the docks of your settlement.
– No Assassins: J0nathan is sure that no Hidden Ones, i.e. Assassins, will appear in the DLC. The Order plays only a minor role in Valhalla as a whole, and a voice line from Eivor is now said to reveal that there are no Assassins in Frankenreich.
Andyreloads adds an amazing amount of detail to the claims about weapons, armour, missions and the map that he has uncovered in the code:
New Skills
– Idun’s Heart: This passive skill begins to restore your health after a short rest.
– Thrill of War: A skill that increases your adrenaline while you remain in combat.
– Wolf Warrior: When you are near death, your damage increases significantly.
– An explosive arrow that blows up its target with a slight delay.
– Goule Breath: A deadly poison dart that consumes enemies with a disease.
– Plague of Rats: A rat-baited arrow that sends a swarm of the rodents after the afflicted foe.
Activities and Quests
– New mini-games: With cheese throwing and a (drunken) pig race, two particularly hilarious activities have apparently been added.
– New Boss: With the “Ghost Auroch”, a powerful bull apparently joins the legendary animals.
– The rebel missions apparently play a crucial role in the siege, comparable to Dublin as a trading post in the first DLC. We apparently work closely with the rebels to grow our army, increase the strength of our units, upgrade siege equipment and secure more rewards – so a bit of management is also part of the addon.
Locations
– You enter the sewers of Paris – perhaps to gain access to the city? In addition, there is talk of a cloak (“Frankish Travel Cloak”), which apparently allows Eivor to move around Paris unhindered, just like back in Assassin’s Creed 2. So social stealth could play a bigger role.
– More places in the Franconian Empire: Besides Paris, we are supposed to be able to visit several communities around the city, as well as along the Seine and even in Normandy. This would make the area larger than according to previous map theories
– But with assassins? There appears to be an Assassin office for Paris in the game files. This could indicate that the Assassins do play some role after all. In addition, an order called “Bellatores Dei” appears, who want to drive the devil out of France and could provide our opponents this time. They also bring a cloak that we could use for camouflage.
Weapons and armour
Cosmetics: Files features three new paid Helix sets based around Charlemagne (including the Crown), as well as a Werewolf pack and one based around the mythological Midgard Serpent Jormungandr.
Armor: The armour visible in the trailer is apparently part of the Paladin and Reaper set. The former increases damage and burns away our stamina in return, while the latter recharges health after successful assassinations.
Weapons: New weapon types include the scythe and one-handed swords. Currently only one model has been revealed, according official tweet there will be a total of six different one-handed swords. According to the leaker, the special blades include Durendal, which once belonged to Roland, a knight of Charlemagne, and Joyeuse, which was carried by the French king himself.
Wrath of the Druids
When will Wrath of the Druids be released? The first major DLC was released on 13 May 2021.
What’s in Wrath of the Druids? The expansion brings an all-new storyline in which Eivor hunts down a cult called the Children of Danu and elevates Dublin to a trading metropolis in order to earn the favour of the Gaelic kings. You wield the sickle as a new weapon and even face off against werewolves. There are also stunning landscapes to admire in the new open world Ireland:
Your journey will take you to an area you have never been to before. Not only will you explore Celtic tombs, cursed forests and the capital city of Dublin, but you will also meet druids and creatures from Irish folklore.
How much do the DLCs for AC Valhalla cost?
The expansions are already included in the Season Pass for 40 euros. You can also buy them separately, then they cost you 25 euros each.
Are there more DLCs coming to AC Valhalla?
At E3 2021, Ubisoft confirmed that new content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also be released in 2022. Odin should also play a role again, which at least speaks for a possible mythological expansion. Current rumours say that we are exploring several Nordic empires and thus relive Odin’s travels.
