This is what you need to play the Cayo Perico Heist
Buy the Kosatka: In order to be able to play the Cayo Perico Heist in GTA Online at all, you first have to buy a submarine. Proceed as follows:
– Visit the Music Locker in the basement of the Diamond Casino Resort
– Talk to Miguel Madrazo in the VIP area of the Music Locker
– Visit the Warstock Cache and Carry in-game website
– Buy the Kosatka submarine there
– Request the Kosatka via the interaction menu (M key) under special vehicles
– Enter your new submarine and meet Pawel
– Register as a CEO, VIP or Club President to gain access to the mission screen.
These Kosatka upgrades are worth it: there are also various upgrades available for the submarine that can drive the cost up to a total of nine million GTA dollars. Prepare the Cayo Perico Heist as a solo player
Gathering Information: What do I need to spy on
Paintings in El Rubio’s office
The most important info: With paintings you can fill your loot bag completely. If you’re lucky, you’ll find two of them while collecting information in El Rubio’s office. If the gods of GTA Online are merciful to you, you will save yourself the trouble of looting secondary loot on the rest of the island and can concentrate fully on the estate.
How to do it: You can take a look at El Rubio’s office anyway as soon as you lock out the main target on Cayo Perico. So first find the matching two cameras and then just pan the estate’s cameras around the room to find potential paintings there. Who knows, you might get lucky.
Cocaine at the airfield and docks
The most important info: Cocaine is the most valuable secondary loot you can solo on Cayo Perico without resorting to glitches. Therefore, always keep your eyes open for cocaine – especially if there aren’t two paintings waiting for you in El Rubio’s office.
How to proceed: There are three possible places where cocaine can be waiting for you, right at the Cayo Perico airfield:
– Two cages full of loot in the hangar right next to your plane
– a cage full of loot in the barn behind the reception centre.
Immediately after landing you can take a look and send photos to Pavel, it won’t take you much time anyway. If you only find a packet or no cocaine at all on the airfield, we recommend you visit the main dock once and the north dock once. Solo players can easily reach both docks during the Heist finale to go home with the maximum loot.

Optional: Guard uniforms at the airfield
The most important info: Experienced Heist-Grinders or cautious players can do without the disguises of El Rubio’s guards, but they are always practical. If you want to move around the island or the estate undisturbed, it’s best to grab one of the guard uniforms.
This is how you proceed: At the Cayo Perico airfield there are two places where you can find the disguises. If you are looking for cocaine there, just risk a quick look to make the Heist finale a little easier for you. As already mentioned, you don’t necessarily need the uniform – but we didn’t want to let its usefulness slip under the radar.

Sewer – only needs to be spied once
To start with: If you have already spied out the sewer once, you will never have to do it again and can jump straight to the next part of our guide. You can select this access point again for each heist without having to go through the information-gathering process again. If you don’t have the sewer on your radar yet, you should definitely spy on it.
The most important information: The sewer is the easiest and maybe even the best access point to El Rubio’s estate. Because this way you can immediately reach the heart of Cayo Perico and thus the most expensive treasures of the drug lord – without having to sneak or shoot your way across the island.
What makes the sewer indispensable: Once you have spied out this access, you can secure the blowtorch in the course of the preparation missions. This will not only open the sewer, but you can also silently open the locks on the loot cages full of cocaine, cash or weed without having to get a bolt cutter.
How to do it: When collecting the information on Cayo Perico, simply take a boat and drive around the island until you reach El Rubio’s estate. Now approach the terrace from the seaward side, which should immediately make the sewer considered to have been spied out.
Preparation missions: What equipment do I need?
For your solo raid, you will of course need to complete the appropriate preparation missions. We have listed the best parameters for you if you want to raid El Rubio’s island alone and without other players:
– Approach Vehicle: Longfin
– Equipment: Plasma Cutter/Safe Combo, Fingerprint Clone Device Cutting Torch
– Weaponry: depending on taste – but for sneaking silencers are indispensable for a total of 5,000 GTA dollars
– Sabotage: not necessary if you want to sneak – otherwise you should at least complete the preparation missions weapons and air support

Playing the Cayo Perico Heist solo
Which selection do I make for the Heist finale
Once you have scouted everything you need and completed the prerequisite preparation missions, it’s time for the finale. Return to the Kosatka mission screen to begin the Heist finale and select the following settings for it:
– Approach Vehicle: Longfin
– Infiltration Point: Main Dock or North Dock – whichever gets you cocaine faster
– Access Point to Property: Sewer Tunnel
– Escape point: Main dock
– Time of day: according to taste – at night the guards have a minimally smaller field of vision
One last tip: Also check again via the menu item “Arsenal” whether you haven’t forgotten your silencers. If you have, you can buy them later via the selection.
The Heist: How do I proceed in the final?
Collect cocaine before you enter the mansion
How to get the optional side loot: If you are lucky enough to get two paintings in El Rubio’s office, you can skip this point and continue reading at Enter the mansion via the sewer. Otherwise proceed as follows:
– Head for the next section of coast with the longfin, where the cocaine you spied is waiting.
– Park the Longfin close to the coast to reach the boat for the waterway to the estate again as soon as possible.
– Avoid cameras, take out guards with silenced weapons, and sneak to the cocaine you spied
– Open the loot cages with the blowtorch and fill your pockets
– Once your pockets are filled, head back to the Longfin

Enter the mansion via the sewer
This is how you enter El Rubio’s mansion: Once you have filled your loot bags or immediately make your way to El Rubio’s estate by water, proceed as follows:
– Take the Longfin to the northern end of Cayo Perico
– Take the Longfin to the coastal side of El Rubio’s estate
– Park the Longfin over the sewer icon on your minimap
– Exit the boat, dive underwater and put on your breathing mask by pressing G
– Open the sewage grate with the cutting torch and dive along the tunnel
– Once you reach the end, enter the mansion via the entrance with the E button

Reached El Rubio’s office
This is how you reach El Rubio’s office undetected: Now you are standing on the balcony of the mansion on Cayo Perico and have to make your way into El Rubio’s mansion. If you want to proceed particularly quickly and above all undetected, then proceed as follows:
– Turn left on the terrace and climb the stairs to the top
– In front of you is a railing, which you have to climb: Aim your weapon at it so your character doesn’t just jump over it
– If you are now standing on the railing, aim your weapon again so that your character does not fall down to the left or to the right
– Now climb up onto the canopy to reach the other roofs
– Now make your way across the rooftops towards El Rubio’s office
– Now jump from the roof onto the white beam to get above it onto the upper terrace to El Rubio’s office – aiming with the gun again helps with balance
– Now you just have to reach the office and take out at least two of El Rubio’s bodyguards on the way there – with a bit of luck one of them will drop the gate key

This is how you grab the main loot on Cayo Perico: Once you have entered El Rubio’s office, you are almost there. Now you only have to collect your loot:
– In El Rubio’s office, loot the wall safe, which is to the left of the fireplace or to the right of the desk
– Collect the painting(s) if your loot bag is not yet full
– Hack the basement access and take the lift down
– Open the entrance to El Rubio’s basement with the blowtorch and gain access to the safe or display case to bag the main loot
– Now return to El Rubio’s office via the elevator
– Take the stairs down and turn right
– Once you have collected the gate key, you can take out the guard behind the iron door to gain access to the main gate of the mansion
– If you don’t have the gate key, simply follow the path to the right, take the stairs down, turn left again and avoid the guards to the main gate
Once you have left El Rubio’s estate via the main gate, there is only one thing left to do: escape from Cayo Perico.

How to escape from Cayo Perico: Only a few more steps and you’ve done it. To quickly and painlessly escape from Cayo Perico, we suggest the following route:
– Run straight ahead from the main gate of El Rubio’s estate. After a few metres a guard will be waiting for you with his back turned next to a motorbike
– Get on the motorbike and ride in the exact opposite direction past El Rubio’s helicopter – but make sure to avoid the guard patrolling there!
– Now drive further towards the coast, in the best case take a ledge and land with the motorbike in the water
– Now dive under and put on a breathing mask with the G-button
– Orientate yourself by the sea mines and swim forward over a large animal skeleton – now keep swimming, after a few seconds the Heist finale should be considered complete
