In the trailer for Hazard Zone, we finally learn more about the new game mode that, along with the 128-player “All Out Warfare” multiplayer and BF Portal, will make up the complete package of Battlefield 2042, which releases on 19 November 2021.
Here’s the short version: In Hazard Zone, several 4-player squads compete against each other to recover data packets on the extensive maps. The gameplay is similar to Hunt: Showdown or Escape from Tarkov: Each player starts with a fixed loadout and has only one life, whoever dies or does not make it to an exfil point loses everything.
