Patch 3.1 brings some eagerly awaited bug fixes and no server downtime.

DICE had already announced with the big content patch number 3 that another one would follow. This one will now be released on 9 December 2021 in a somewhat smaller form than its predecessor. Instead, it has some bug fixes in its luggage, which should be balm for the players’ souls.

The most important thing: Although the new patch will be installed on 9 December at 9 a.m., there will be no server downtimes. So those of you who climb into the virtual tank or helicopter tomorrow morning will not be ejected at 9 am.

Since this is Patch 3.1 and not Update 4, the patch accordingly contains only minor changes and bug fixes and no major changes or new content. We have put together an overview of the most exciting information for you right here.

These are the most exciting Patch Notes from Update 3.1

In addition to further adjustments to your aiming and shooting behaviour, the new patch mainly revolves around bug fixes and balancing updates. For example, the vehicles will be further generated so that they don’t eat infantry troops for breakfast. In addition, the audio design has been worked on to make it easier for you to estimate distances.

These are the most important patch notes at a glance:

  • Improvements to the consistency of projectile hit registration.
  • Balancing changes to projectile scatter and recoil
  • Further balancing changes to the 30-, 40-, and 57-mm guns of ground vehicles to reduce their effectiveness against infantry
  • A fix for a rare bug that could make game enders invisible to enemies
  • Fixes for various bugs related to grenades and launchers
  • Multiple audio enhancements to improve the overall sound experience, focusing on clarity, distance and directional awareness
  • Update 3.1 was the last patch for 2021
  • As previously announced by the developers, patch 3.1 was the last Battlefield 2042 patch for the year and it goes into the Christmas break. For you this means: You should not expect further changes and content until the beginning of 2022. When we can expect Patch 3.2 or even Patch 4 is still unclear. We also don’t know when Season 1 will be launched in Battlefield 2042.But apparently there is already some new content planned for 2022:

So you have plenty of time to think about what you would like to see in Battlefield in the new year and what new content is most important to you. Write us your wish list in the comments and let us know what you think about the new update.
