The Egyptian capital Cairo will most likely appear as a map in the new Battlefield in 2025.
The new Battlefield is coming out as early as 2025, but there isn’t much gameplay to see yet – 11 seconds to be exact.
But these 11 seconds are apparently enough for some internet detectives to uncover new information about the game!
fans have analyzed the material in detail and come to the conclusion that Battlefield 7 will at least be partially set in Egypt.
Details in the architecture
Reddit user Rader_ found out from a video by LevelCapGaming that one of the posters in the trailer bears the Arabic inscription “For the Future of Egypt”.
In addition, some of the graffiti in the official artwork for the game alludes to the 1957 Suez Crisis, as KiIllerWhale had already discovered some time before.

But there are also architectural details that make Egypt an extremely likely setting for the gameplay video:
I compared details such as the air conditioners, palm trees and yellow-black road markings with real photos and was able to identify the location as Cairo or Giza.
The city of Giza borders directly on Cairo and is located on the opposite side of the Nile.
Battlefield back in the Middle East?
Further evidence: the official advertising image for the new Battlefield with the Abrams tank shows a mosque, the real-life model of which has now been uncovered using Google Maps.
Corresponding photos from Street View suggest that the details in the game match the Sultan Hasan Mosque in Cairo exactly.
Little is known officially about the setting and locations of the new Battlefield. According to earlier leaks, battles between NATO forces and private military organizations or mercenaries are said to play a major role.
Since the game seems to be stylistically very similar to Battlefield 3, a return to the Middle East scenario would be obvious – BF3 covered locations in Iran and Iraq.
In January 2025, allegations were made that EA used a photo from the Gaza Strip for an artwork of the new Battlefield game.The photo was taken by the Reuters news agency and shows an explosion in Gaza.
First playtest started
Battlefield 7 is already in the hands of the first players and is to be tested more extensively than its predecessors.
Through the new program Battlefield Labs, the developers want to collect and incorporate direct feedback from players.
Even after release, Labs will continue to serve as an interface between fans and the manufacturer, according to EA.
