New concept art from the next Battlefield reveals that major US cities will likely become battlegrounds as well.
The flood of information from Battlefield Labs continues: After we have already learned the first details about classes, weapons and movement in the gameplay leaks, artwork from the new Battlefield has now emerged. And it already reveals a lot!
What have they found? The images are not screenshots, but concept art. Developers use them to define the visual style of their game. Some of the images have already been used as loading screens in Battlefield Labs.
Where did this come from? Dataminers discovered the images in the code of Battlefield Labs and distributed them via Telegram. Labs is a community test environment in which the new Battlefield is being tested and developed in advance.
The images can be found at, among others, MP1st.com or on Twitter/X:

Battle of the Brooklyn Bridge?
The approximately 20 new images clearly show some of the battlefields where Battlefield 7 will be played – for example, the Egypt map Abbasid, which has already been confirmed in the official gameplay.
But there are also some surprises:
- New York City: The Dumbo district with its red-brick apartment buildings and the (partially destroyed) Brooklyn Bridge are clearly visible in several pictures. So the fight will also take place in the USA.
- Los Angeles: Another image with palm trees and Hollywood villas confirms L.A. as another North American location and is strongly reminiscent of the infamous US invasion scene from CoD Modern Warfare 2.
- Gibraltar: An artwork shows four Apache attack helicopters over grassland, where a wildfire is spreading – this could be related to the urban map Battery, where forest fires are also raging.
- Boats: One image shows several military RHIB inflatable boats moving through canals in a partially destroyed US city. It is the first visual confirmation of fighting on the water in the new battlefield.
A Reddit user has grouped the various set pieces of the New York images geographically, piecing together an overall picture of a possible map:

It remains unclear whether all the locations will actually make it into the final release version of the game. Concept arts can also serve only as an internal reference for the developers. Furthermore, their authenticity cannot be verified.
In any case, the leaks further reinforce the prevailing impression that the new installment will apparently be strongly linked to Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 in terms of battlefield atmosphere and military aesthetics.
We will probably be able to find out for ourselves whether this impression will be confirmed in the finished game in 2025: The release of the new Battlefield is currently expected around the winter business, but a postponement to the first quarter of 2026 is still possible. The launch of GTA 6 could also still affect the schedule.
