EA has accidentally leaked the skins for the festive season with the new patch. The community is not very enthusiastic about Santa Claus and Co.

In keeping with the festive season, the new Battlefield 2042 will also be getting a Christmas update. The patch from Wednesday has accidentally leaked that there will be a Santa Claus skin in the game. However, this was already rejected in a press conference in March by the community, who are anything but pleased due to the ignoring.

The main criticism of the skin is on the one hand due to the realistic style of the game. From the players’ point of view, a Christmas-like operator skin hardly fits into the image of the game. On Reddit, the new Battlefield is even compared to the mobile game Candycrush.

On the other hand, fans feel that the new operators (as a replacement for the class system) are only created to sell skins. The Santa Claus skin and other cosmetic changes to the series were probably first shown in an EA press conference in March. Even at that point, negative feedback was coming from the gaming community.

When exactly the Christmas content is supposed to come into the game is still unclear. After the leak with Thursday’s patch, the customisations have disappeared from the game for the time being.
