A late 2022 hack appears to have caused potential content roadmaps for Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 to be leaked.

Season 2 of Call of Duty Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 is already in full swing. A hack that took place back in late 2022 now seems to have leaked potential plans from the developers for 2023. We took a look at what could be waiting for us next year according to the hack.

What did the Call of Duty hack reveal?

(vx-underground), a site that collects malware code and leaked documents, announced via Twitter that Call of Duty developer Activision was hit by a hack in December.

Documents and schedules containing sensitive data were downloaded.

The downloaded documents refer to content, some of which was not due to be published until 17 November 2023.

Activision allegedly did not notify anyone of this.

What could we expect in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2?

The posted screenshots show several planned content updates at once.

Supposedly Season 3 will start on 10 March, be integrated into the games on 5 April and end on 16 May with the launch of Season 4.

According to the leak, the following content is planned for Season 3

  • 2 new operators
  • 3 new weapons
  • 3 main maps
  • A battle map
  • 4 Gunfight maps
  • A Spec Ops Mission
  • A Raid
  • A Battle Pass

Similar updates are planned for Season 4.

In Season 6, which is said to start in September there might be some kind of Haunting of Saba “ Halloween event planned.

How seriously can the leaks be taken?

As always, such leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. Since there have been no statements from the developer about the hack so far, it has not even been confirmed that it took place at all. For this reason, it is currently impossible to prove whether the roadmaps are genuine.

Until Activision makes a statement on the situation, it is therefore only speculation.
