A new patch for CoD Warzone changes some weapon attachments again, after they were weakened too much with Season 2.

Last week, Season 2 started in Call of Duty: Warzone: However, there was not only new content like the zombie event Outbreak, where you can earn cosmetics in the undead look. As always, numerous balance adjustments were also made, which especially affect the weapon attachments. You can find all the changes in our big info article:

A hotfix released on March 3, 2021 now brings further changes that are supposed to help the silencers regain their old strength.

Suppressors shine in old splendor

More specifically, it’s about the Agency, GRU and Wrapped silencers from Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, which have been available in the game since December, when the content of the current CoD spin-off was integrated into Warzone.

The aforementioned silencers were a bit weak on the chest at the time, so developer Raven Software subsequently raised the bullet velocity. This way, these weapon attachments should work more effectively at a distance.

With the big patch for the release of Season 2, however, these changes were undone – but by mistake. Only a few hours later, Raven Software published an announcement on Twitter that they wanted to undo this nerf.

The update is now live: on the evening of March 3, 2021, the weekly hotfix for CoD Warzone was released. Besides the changes to the silencers, a few other small issues were fixed.

The full patch notes of the hotfix are as follows:

  • Agency / GRU / Wrapped Suppressors have been reset to their previous state.
  • The fourth operator mission for Baker with the objective of eliminating 15 enemies using a weapon with a 2x magnified scope or higher is now tracked correctly.
Minor updates to various UI elements such as icons, store bundles, and player level-up.
  • So if you’re currently in CoD Warzone, it may be worth checking your loadouts and trying out the revised silencers in Gunsmith. In our guide we also give you more tips for your loadout and show you the best grips in Season 2.
