Watching the Call of Duty League finals will give you the chance to access the closed beta of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but it will take a little preparation.

The first chance to win a brand new key to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta is just around the corner. With a little luck, you can secure one of the coveted access keys next week. All you have to do is watch the Call of Duty League and make a few quick preparations.

On Sunday, 7 August 2022, the Call of Duty League will culminate with the Championship Weekend finale. Those who tune in to the broadcast on this day from 20:30 German time will also have the chance to receive a key for the Modern Warfare 2 beta.

To do this, however, you must first create an Activision account on the official website. This account must then be connected to your YouTube account. If you watch the livestream of the Championship Final on YouTube on Sunday while logged in with the linked account, you will automatically be entered into the prize draw.

It is not yet known how many keys will be raffled off during the broadcast. On the official Twitter account, however, the Call of Duty League is talking about the “biggest code drop in the history of the CDL”. The exact period of the beta phase is also still unclear. However, the well-informed insider Tom Henderson ( wants to know) that the beta will start at the beginning of September.

In addition to the beta keys, you can receive many other goodies throughout the Championship Weekend. These include XP tokens, calling cards and emblems for CoD: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific. Unlike the Beta Keys, these will not be raffled off. Instead, you will receive new content for every half hour you watch the stream. You can read exactly what you will receive on which day (here).
